So remember the opening shot in the movie as the train steamed into Castle Town Station { Ballyglunin } well here is a different scene to the one we saw in the movie, taken from the railway bridge.

What a gallant engine No. 59, Like most of her sisters, she kept on going right up to the end of the steam era and she was scrapped in 1959. What a pity she was not preserved as a museum piece, either in Ballyglunin or Cong a legacy to The Quiet-Man, what a tourist attraction that would be.
